Campus front doors, not the visitor car park
Markham is a business park with a nineteenth-century village in the middle of it. The campuses sit in long blocks along Highway 7, Woodbine Avenue and the 404: low buildings, ring roads, gated staff entrances and a visitor car park several minutes walk from the lobby anyone is actually waiting in. We take the building number and the entrance when the booking is made, which is why our chauffeurs do not phone from the wrong side of a site.
The airport work here is cross-town by definition. Pearson is on the far side of the region, and the honest choice is between the 407 west, which is quick and tolled, and the 401 through Scarborough, which is free and unreliable. Since the toll is already inside your fixed fare, dispatch takes the 407 whenever it is moving, and the decision costs you nothing either way.
Away from the offices, Markham is Main Street Unionville, the Cornell and Cathedraltown neighbourhoods, and the shopping centres along Kennedy and Steeles that fill on a weekend. Add Markham Stouffville Hospital, the Flato theatre and the golf clubs north of Major Mackenzie, and a typical week here is a mix of corporate mornings and family evenings rather than one or the other.

Main Street heritage shops and restaurants, where parking is limited and evening pickups are pinned to the Carlton Road end.
Cornell
Rear-lane housing near the hospital, so the pickup is the front door on the street rather than the garage on the lane.

Steeles and Kennedy, with the malls and banquet halls that fill on a weekend afternoon and empty all at once.
