Banquet halls on Highway 7, offices on the 400
Vaughan is the newest piece of our map and the one that changed fastest. A subway terminus arrived at the Metropolitan Centre and towers went up around it; the 427 extension opened north to Major Mackenzie and gave Woodbridge a second way south; and Highway 7 turned into a corridor of hotels, offices and banquet halls between the 400 and the 404. A chauffeur who last drove here five years ago would still be using the old routes.
The event work is what makes this city distinctive. The halls along Highway 7 and Regional Road 27 run three or four functions on a Saturday, which means a hundred cars arriving inside the same fifteen minutes and a valet lane that stops moving. We drop at the doors early, park off site, and collect from a named side entrance rather than joining the queue that everyone else is sitting in.
The rest is quieter and steadier. Concord and the 400 corridor are offices and light industry, usually airport transfers on a Monday morning. Woodbridge and Maple are house pickups on wide streets. Kleinburg is a village with one main street, the McMichael gallery and a wedding trade of its own. And Canada's Wonderland turns the 400 at Rutherford into a car park every summer afternoon, which we plan around rather than sit in.

Where the cars actually go
Vaughan Metropolitan Centre
Towers and hotels around the subway terminus, with underground loading that keeps a winter pickup out of the weather.
Woodbridge
The Islington Avenue village and the streets around it, where a car waits on the side road rather than in the one-lane centre.
Concord
Offices and light industry between the 400 and Keele, mostly early morning airport runs and the occasional roadshow day.
Maple
Residential blocks east of Keele with the hospital and the GO station nearby, both regular short transfers for us.
Kleinburg
One main street, the McMichael gallery and a steady wedding trade, reached from Highway 27 rather than through the village.
Thornhill
The Yonge and Centre Street end of the city, where a pickup is often quicker to reach from the 407 than from Highway 7.

Kleinburg gallery and grounds, a common wedding and gala venue where the approach road takes cars one way only.

Can you shuttle guests between a Highway 7 hall and the hotels?
Yes, as an hourly charter rather than a string of transfers. The van holds the run between the ceremony, the hall and the hotel, the chauffeur waits between legs, and the time is billed against the vehicle minimum shown on the fleet page.
Does taking the 407 cost me extra?
No. Tolls are inside the fixed airport fare, which is why your chauffeur can take the faster road without asking you first. Your quote shows the fare and HST, and nothing is added after the trip.
What about the traffic around Wonderland in summer?
It is real, it is predictable, and it is planned for. The 400 at Rutherford backs up mid-afternoon on a hot weekend, so a car heading for an evening flight leaves earlier and uses Jane or Keele to reach the 407 instead.
