A standard full-size SUV makes you choose between the sixth passenger and the sixth suitcase. This one does not. Inside, the second row is a pair of heated and ventilated captain's chairs with a console between them, not a bench. The third row is a genuine adult row rather than a concession. Rear passengers get their own climate zone, two entertainment screens with an HDMI input, wireless charging and a quiet cabin, because the ESV runs laminated acoustic glass and active noise cancellation. Every ESV in the Northcrest fleet is four-wheel drive on winter tyres from November to April.
