The shortest airport run on our map
Etobicoke wraps around Highway 427, which is the whole reason its Pearson fare is the lowest of the twelve and its drive time is measured in minutes rather than half-hours. From Dixon Road the terminal is a couple of interchanges away. From Humber Bay Shores it is two ramps and a short run north. Nowhere else on our map can a flight be met this late and still be met calmly.
That proximity shapes the work. The Dixon Road hotel strip runs crew changes, early conference arrivals and long-haul passengers on a layover, all of whom want a car that appears when the lift doors open rather than in twenty minutes. Rexdale adds Woodbine Racetrack, Casino Woodbine and the Toronto Congress Centre, which fill and empty in one lump and need a staging plan instead of a pickup pin.
South of the Gardiner it is a different suburb again. Humber Bay Shores is a wall of towers with a single service road and underground visitor loading. Mimico, New Toronto and Long Branch are narrow streets of semis where a Sprinter cannot turn. The Kingsway and Islington Village are house pickups behind hedges, and Sherway Gardens sits at the QEW split for anyone meeting halfway.

Humber Bay Shores
Lakeshore towers with underground visitor loading. We use the garage, because the service road jams whenever two cars stop on it.
Mimico and New Toronto
Narrow residential streets off Lake Shore Boulevard West, where a sedan or a mid-size SUV fits and a stretch does not.
Islington Village
Dundas Street West shops and the murals, with side-street pickups rather than stopping on Dundas itself.
The Kingsway
Long driveways off Royal York and Prince Edward Drive, five minutes from the Gardiner and ten from the 427.
Rexdale and Dixon Road
The airport hotel strip and the Woodbine lands, close enough to Terminal 1 that we hold pickups later than anywhere else.
Markland Wood and Eatonville
Quiet crescents against the Mississauga line, served off the 427 or Burnhamthorpe depending on the hour.

The spine of this half of the city and the direct feed to both terminals. Northbound it is busiest at 07:00, southbound at 16:30.
The Queensway
The surface line east to the Humber and west to Sherway, and our alternative whenever the Gardiner ramps are closed.
Lake Shore Boulevard West
Slow, signalled and lined with towers, but the only sensible approach to Humber Bay and Long Branch addresses.
Dixon Road
The hotel strip road into the airport tunnel. It moves well outside shift-change hours and is where late arrivals are collected from.

Gardiner east past the Humber and down Bathurst to the ferry pavilion. The lakeshore stretch is the part that slows in summer.

QEW west the whole way, then Highway 6 up the escarpment. Nothing in this run touches the 401, so it holds up well on a weekday morning.
Buffalo Niagara
BUFTypical drive 1 hour 55 to 2 hours 25, plus the border
QEW past Hamilton to Fort Erie and the Peace Bridge. We build in the crossing and absorb the queue; every passenger needs their own documents.

Weddings and dinners on the Humber, with a narrow entrance drive best approached from Bloor rather than from the valley.

Yes, and they are the one pickup we are comfortable scheduling tight. Give us the hotel and the flight number; dispatch tracks the aircraft, and your chauffeur meets you in the lobby rather than texting from a car park.
How does a pickup work in a Humber Bay Shores tower?
From the underground visitor loading bay wherever the building allows it. The service road above is one lane in practice, so waiting on it blocks the building; your chauffeur parks below and calls when he is in position.
